Using your email program to deal with spam and junk mail.
Spam isn't that great out of a can and it's even worse in your email in-box! If you take a little time to setup and learn how to use filters, there is a great deal of the junk you will never have to read.
Filters act like a postmaster. They sort your mail and send it to the proper mailbox for you. Wouldn't it be nice to have your junk mail pre-sorted for you from the post office? You could put a trash can under your mailbox and have the delivery person toss the junk in it for you. Once in a while you could empty it. You can do just that with your email using filters!
I am going to concentrate on the three most popular programs. If you use one other than Eudora, MS Internet Mail, or Netscape Mail, read about the filters in one of these and apply it to the filters in the program you do use.
